At the beginning of this year I was raiding the fridge and found some crescent roll dough, sauce and cheese. Sounds like a recipe for homemade pizza rolls, am I right?
If you've been around here for a minute or two, you know that this blog is all things air fryer recipes. So why not try air fried pizza rolls?
This is one snack your kids will love! Mine tend to get sick of the usual lunch ideas for kids like sandwiches! But they do love homemade pizza bagels!
These air fryer pizza puffs are a delicious lunch in less than 10 minutes. Plus, they are way better than Totinos (in my opinion!)

Ingredients - What You Need To Make Pizza Rolls in an Air Fryer
Here are the ingredients you'll need:
Three ingredients is all you need to make this easy snack recipe!
- Refrigerated crescent dough: I recommend Immaculate Crescent Dough for an organic option, otherwise Pillsbury works great.
- Marinara sauce: Any jarred pasta sauce or pizza sauce will do.
- Mozzarella cheese
🔪 Instructions - How To Make Pizza Rolls in the Air Fryer
Here is how you make it:
1. Open the pizza crust and roll it out. Cut pizza dough into eight even squares using a pizza cutter.
2. Spread sauce on each square.
3. Add cheese atop sauce on each square.
4. Wrap up pizza rolls by pulling up each corner in a clockwise formation. Pull final corner over to seal.
Place pizza rolls onto air fryer tray sprayed with coconut oil or cooking spray. Air fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.

Refrigerated pizza dough or crescent doll works well. I've found pizza dough is easier to cut and fold.
Also, Immaculate Crescent Dough is great for an organic option, otherwise Pillsbury works well.
What temperature to cook pizza rolls at?
I like to cook pizza rolls at 400F for 4-5 minutes. This gives them a delicious golden brown crust with melty cheese inside.
