Ingredients
Here are the ingredients you need to make this recipe. Reference the recipe card at the bottom for exact measurements and the notes below for substitution ideas.

- Lobster bisque soup: Premade soup makes this recipe super easy. I bought mine at Trader Joe's.
- Langostino lobster tails: Found in the freezer section, Trader Joe's Langostino lobster tails come precooked. You just have to heat them up in the sauce.
- Cherry tomatoes: Cherry or grape tomatoes work well in this recipe. You can also use canned tomatoes.
- Garlic: Minced garlic cloves bring bold garlic flavor to the dish.
- Shallots: I like using shallots in place of onions to bring even more flavor.
- Rigatoni: Rigatoni, or another sturdy pasta like shells or penne work well to grab the sauce.
- Parmesan cheese: Shredded Parmesan cheese is a great compliment and topping for the pasta.
- Fresh basil: Fresh basil adds delicious fresh flavor.
- Olive oil (not pictured): Olive oil or butter is used to sauté the shallots and garlic.
- Additional seasonings (optional, not pictured): I did not add extra salt or black pepper. But, taste the dish before serving and season as desired.

How to Make Lobster Bisque Pasta
Below are step-by-step instructions for how to cook this recipe with the best results. The recipe card at the bottom shows the exact cooking time and temperatures.

Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Cook the pasta according to the package al dente directions. Reserve a cup of pasta water for later. Drain the pasta and set aside.

Step 2: Sauteé Shallots and Garlic
In the same pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Sauteé the minced shallots for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Step 3: Add the tomatoes
Add the cherry tomatoes and allow them to cook in the garlic olive oil for 5 minutes or until softened. Use a fork or a potato masher to smash the tomatoes.

Step 4: Heat the Lobster Bisque and Langostino Tails
Add the langostino lobster tails and lobster bisque to the pot. Stir gently and heat until just heated through. Do not overcook the langostino lobster tails.

Step 5: Add Pasta, Basil, and Parmesan
Add the cooked pasta along with some pasta water and stir in the lobster bisque pasta sauce until the pasta is well coated. Top with fresh basil and Parmsean cheese and serve.
Hint: You are only heating the langostino lobster tails, not cooking them (they are already cooked). Be sure to not overheat or overcook the lobster.
